Comments about KidKraft 100 Piece Super Space Train Set:
Although the description states made of wood, a number of key components are made of some sort of cardboard composite. In fact, one of the four supports that create a dome around which the track is supposed to rest (in elevation) broke during assemly. My father intends to make a replacement in wood - the material this piece should have been made in in the first place. Also, a number of the decals used to make astronauts, etc are askew, the tracks aren't level (so that derailments occur more often than not)and the crane was not properly assembled at the plant. The toy claims to be compatible with Brio and Thomas but it is certainly not comparable in terms of quality. Too bad, as the concept is great.
Service and delivery comments:
Service was awesome and delivery very fast. That said, a corner of the box did get dinted and that in turn crushed one corner of the train's underpad.
