Founded in 1979 by Steve Simpson, the company's CEO and President, Prepac Manufacturing is a state-of-the-art manufacturer of home furnishings and storage products with its main manufacturing factory located in the heart of the forest rich province of British Columbia, Canada.The company originated as a prefinished product manufacturer, providing custom printed and finished particleboard shelving for the Western Canadian building industry. In the early 1980s, Prepac launched its first Ready to Assemble (RTA) storage products into the Home Center industry. Success rapidly followed and by 1984 the company began producing national RTA storage programs. As the company has grown, so has the range of products. The stand looks good in the picture, but is not an ideal TV Stand. Its pretty much flimsy in make, my cabinet door fell off the very first week, and within one month both the doors were dangling from the hinges. After sending an email from the Wayfair TV Stand company, they referred to the manufacturers contact details, and told me to get in touch with them directly. I would not recommend this stand. For 250 dollars, you cud get better stand from a local furniture store made out of real wood.. rather than cheap Chinese mdf.
BOTTOM LINE No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Over the past 5 months I've in mind to purchase a new 55" Samsung tv and wasn't sure if I'd mount it on the wall or purchase a tv stand. In the meantime I looked at several different stands and based on the price, appearance, and size - I decided to purchase this Ferentino 60". It arrived with reinforced packing in two cartons. The directions, with a little study, were straight forward and it took me about 90 minutes to put it together. The directions recommend two people for a certain portion, but I managed on my own. I'm very pleased with it's appearance in my home and have plenty of space for audio/visual equipment. Once it was fully constructed, I placed sliders on the bottom in order to move it around easily.
BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The stand works great for our new 65" flatscreen, it was easy to put together, however it still took about 1.5 hours to assemble. Makes a nice addition to our living room, the company was great to work with, would recommend them to family and friends.

I bought this stand to hold my new Samsung 65" LED TV and it is just perfect. We assembled it in about 90 minutes and it looks like a piece of finished furniture. It could hold up an elephant. The fit and finish is very nice. I shopped locally and couldn't find anything this nice less than $800.00.

Holds ever single one of my many components (DVD, VCR, stereo receiver, 101 disc CD changer, turntable, Xbox 360, Wii, center speaker, right and left speakers, 42" flat screen TV, cassette deck, wireless headphones station). So easy my awesome girlfriend assembled it when I was at work. Looks awesome. Very sturdy.

Can be a little difficult to assemble if by yourself, a few exposed unfinished edges that could be viewable but these are not big deals. The big deal was the doors literally FELL APART when I put them on. The glass doors have four pieces of wood around the outside held to gether with wooden dowels that literally FELL APART under their own weight when I put then on the assembled unit! Since the rest of it was already together, I got the wood glue out and clamped them together and that seemed to do the trick, so far. Overall, the unit is ok but I would get something a little nicer next time.

From the day we bought this thing we have experienced problems with it. When we put it together one of the glass doors came unglued -- we ordered a replacement. [...] it shows up and the other door literally comes unglued. We order yet ANOTHER replacement door [...]. Opening the box we notice surprise surprise the door is already unglued in the packaging. We have a 54" plasma sitting on the stand and after less than a month you can see a noticeable sag\bow in the wood. Prepac is hard to get ahold of -- every time you call you get an answering machine and sometimes they call you back and sometimes they don't. Overall this was a waste of our time and money -- for less than $100 more and we could get a much higher quality stand thats made of REAL wood and doesn't come unglued everytime you turn around.
BOTTOM LINE No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This is one sharp looking table. It is fairly low profile and deceptively deep in design. Overall we love it. However, there are areas where the black finish peels off of the backing, especially around edges and fringe. A black marker helps hide some of this, but you get the feeling you have to be EXTREMELY careful with the stand so as not to make the peeling worse......also the back panel is difficult to affix to the cabinet with nails along the top. becasue the board you nail the panel to has little support and wants to bend forward as you try to affix panel to it......Overall Grade A-/ B+
