Vantage Industries, an Atlanta, Georgia company, was acquired by Leggett and Platt in 1994. The Coated Fabrics Division was formed as a result of the acquisition of Sunbelt Products in 1995.
The basic products manufactured are a PVC coated polyester substrate which is used in a variety of commercial and residential applications, and an EVA coated substrate used as rug pad for rug over carpet applications.
Extensive research and development projects have generated successful new products and product applications. As a result, Vantage currently markets directly to retailers and distributors, a much broader variety of coated fabric products than ever before. Examples of products produced by Vantage include: shelf liners, bath mats, shower mats, and sink mats, place mats, transportation damage prevention mats, yoga and physical therapy mats, non-slip poster boards and camping mats, among others.

This pad is on a cherry wood floor under a very thick wool area rug. It works great for keeping the rug in place - no movement at all. It also helps keep any dust from going through the pad onto the floor - which can happen with thin pads or those with holes - so we don't have abrasive dust between the pad & the brand new floor. Very important since this will protect rather than damage a floor that we worked very hard at installing. It doesn't wad up under the rug so the rug stays nice & flat. It also helps to make sitting and walking on the rug feel so good because it is so thick & luxurious. Our rug is a large square so we had to cut a rectangle down and cutting it was very easy with a heavy utility shears.

This pad needs to be a little thicker, but this is the thickest I have seen. It absolutely helps to pad the carpet. A bit too long and just not wide enough, just cut the end and it works just fine.
