The bed was nice[...]. The drawers are a little dissapointing because they are pretty hard to open and close. This translates in us not putting anything there because you have to wiggle them to open and wiggle to close. Otherwise, great bed for the price.PS: The wood is compressed wood, so it is not a great bed that way, but we don't want it to last forever either, so it is fine for us.

The mattress basically sits on a big piece of plywood; we don't let our nearly-3-yr.-old jump on his bed for this reason. That part of the bed doesn't seem durable. But it looks great and overall seems like it will last a long time.
Service and delivery comments:
Ordering and delivery were easy and quick. No problems with delivery EXCEPT b/c free shipping means ground, there was no way for them to tell me when the bed would arrive. I could track the shipment, but what that amounted to was finding out from work the morning that the bed was "out for delivery." I could then call my downstairs neighbor to keep an eye out for it and drag it into our hallway, to get it off the porch until I could get home. And I left a note on the door for the delivery people to ring his bell if we didn't answer ours. Also: I was told it would be UPS, but it ended up being Fed-Ex.

This bed was a the best "some assembly required" item I have EVER done. All panels are letter coded so there is no way you can make a mistake. My 9 year old son (the owner of the bed) help me put it together. He loves it and says its very comfortable to sleep on.
