This is a no brainer appliance just read the guide for first time use. It is well constructed. Cooks evenly and fast. A audible beep sounds when waffle is ready. We use a malted belgian waffle mix, this makes a good waffle great. We have had this for about a year and with no problems. I feel the Waring Belgian Waffle Maker is the best bang for your buck. BTW we fold in two beaten egg whites and a teaspoon of vanilla to the mix YUM.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I use this product for breakfast. It is easy to clean. Easy to store. The waffles turn out perfectly and do not stick. I would recommend it to any one who wants a waffle baker. Even browning because of the rotation element.
